Accessibility Statement
The Or Ben Avi law office attaches the utmost importance to the right to equal opportunity on the internet. To that end, we work continuously to uphold this right, and invest considerable effort and resources in making the entire website and all of its content pages accessible.
The site has been adapted in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments to Service) Regulations, the recommendations of Israeli Standard SI 5568, and the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0.
The level of accessibility implemented on the site is AA.
Adjustments and accommodations made
The following adjustments have been made as part of making the site accessible, together with the options available on it:
- Standard semantic structure: every page has a single main heading and subheadings in an orderly hierarchy, and the page regions (menu, main content, footer) are marked so that screen readers recognise them.
- Language and text direction are defined for every page (Hebrew right-to-left, English left-to-right), so that screen readers read the text in the correct language.
- Full keyboard navigation: all links, buttons and form fields are keyboard-accessible, and the element that has focus is marked with a prominent outline.
- A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page, which appears when the Tab key is pressed.
- Colour contrast between text and background that meets Level AA requirements.
- Alternative text for images that convey information. Purely decorative images and icons are hidden from screen readers.
- Text descriptions for buttons and links shown as icons only (WhatsApp, phone, Facebook, LinkedIn, menu and language switch), and indication of the menu’s state (open or closed) and of the current page in the menu.
- The contact form: every field has a label that screen readers announce, required fields are marked as such, and the name, phone and email fields support autofill.
- A display adapted to every screen size, from desktop computers to mobile phones, and the ability to zoom in the browser without losing content.
- Text on the site is presented as text and not as an image, so it can be enlarged and read aloud.
- The opening animation lasts about three seconds, is shown at most once a day and contains no flashing. Anyone who has enabled “reduce motion” on their device will not see it, and the site’s other animations are turned off for them as well.
The site was tested with the automated testing tool axe-core and with the NVDA screen reader (version 2026.2) in the Chrome browser, in both desktop and mobile views. Issues found during testing were corrected.
The site supports the following operating systems: Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, in the current versions of the Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox browsers.
Exclusions
The site includes links to external services (WhatsApp, Google Maps, Facebook and LinkedIn). The accessibility of these services is the responsibility of their operators and is not under the office’s control.
